Friendly football match
On September 11, 2019, a friendly football match between the teams of Michurinsk State Agrarian University (rector Vadim Babushkin) and Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin was held.
The organizers of the event, dedicated to the Day of Solidarity in the fight against terrorism, were the employees of the International Department of the Agrarian University with the support of representatives of the Student Self-Government Council.
The meeting was aimed at highlighting the global threat to the world community and, raising awareness, fostering patriotism and an ill feeling to violence, as well as creating an active citizenship.
At the opening of the tournament, the head of the International Department of the Michurinsk SAU Elena Yashina, the director of the resource and methodological center for interethnic relations Natalya Ershova made a welcoming speech. Those present pay tribute to the memory of the victims of terrorist acts with a moment of silence.
The national teams included foreign students of two universities. The match ended in a draw with a score of 2: 2. The atmosphere on the football field was friendly and united, despite the desire of each team to win.
