On December 18, 2019, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) Irina Donnik, accompanied by Rector Vadim Babushkin, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Science of the Tambov region Larisa Golubeva, Head of the Michurinsk city administration Maxim Kharnikov and Head of the Michurinsk district administration Galina Shemanaeva, visited the Center for the Development of Modern Competencies of Children of the Michurinsk State Agrarian University. The visit to the center took place immediately after the opening ceremony of the Michurinsk city “Agrocube”. The establishment of such innovative facilities for the education of the younger generation of scientists for the agro-industrial sector in the Tambov region is under the patronage of Governor Alexander Nikitin.
According to Irina Donnik, the university has created excellent conditions for the development of creative and research abilities of students and schoolchildren. The Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences was especially pleased with the fact that during the foreign language lesson, schoolchildren were taught to write annotations for scientific articles in English.
