In Michurinsk SAU held competitions dedicated to Students' Day

At the Michurinsk State Agrarian University (rector Vadim Babushkin), a sports event was held dedicated to the 265th anniversary of the Day of Russian Students. The students, representing the institutes of the university took part in the sports event.

The official part of the event was opened by the performance of the winners of the competition “Freshman Debut-2019” - dance group “Exclusive” of Center for College of Applied Qualifications. After a performance, the host of the opening ceremony, a student at the institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing named after I.V. Michurin, Vitaly Martynov, gave the floor to the vice-rector for educational work Sergei Zhidkov with a welcoming address. Sergey Alexandrovich congratulated the students on the upcoming holiday, wished them good health, excellent study and a great mood.

Six teams participated in the competition. The organizer of the event - the Sports Club of the Center for Culture and Leisure of the Michurinsk SAU - developed an interesting program: students competed in dexterity, speed, accuracy, participating in relay races with basketball and volleyballs, a skipping rope and a hoop.

The vice-rector for educational work Sergey Zhidkov headed the judges’ board of the competition, it also included the chairman of the committee of students Mikhail Bubnov and the chairman of the Council of student self-governance Lyubov Mikhailova. Compliance with the regulations and the correctness of all exercises were monitored by the chief secretary of the competition, deputy head of the Center for Culture and Leisure for Sports Work Svetlana Zakharova and judges at the site, students of the Institute of Economics and Management Daniil Shekhmatov, Andrei Myagkykh and a representative of the Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing named after I.V. Michurin Daniil Cheremisin.

At the end of the competition part, an awarding ceremony took place. The vice-rector for educational work Sergey Zhidkov presented diplomas and sweet gifts to the teams. The team of foreign students was recognized as the most positive, the prize as the most active team went to representatives of the Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing named after I.V. Michurin, as the most friendly - students of the Engineering Institute.

The team of the Center College of Applied Qualifications, received the awards for the third place, for the second - the Institute of Economics and Management. And the students of the Socio-Pedagogical Institute won the competition.

A wonderful and creative gift for all participants was the performance of the winner of creative competitions among universities of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation, a student of the Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing named after I.V. Michurin Olga Bocharova.
