The award ceremony "Student of the year of the Michurinsk State Agrarian university-2018»

Significant event took place in the framework of the Year of the volunteer with the assistance of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Michurinsk State Agrarian university, the Governor of Tambov region Alexander Nikitin and rector of the University Vadim Babuskin. The purpose of the event – to identify, support and recognize the merits of students who have reached heights in the field of science, creativity, sports, youth policy, student leadership, social activities and volunteering.

The competition was held in two stages. In the first applicants presented portfolio in eight categories: "Intelligence of the year", "Breakthrough of the year", "Foreign student", "Creative personality", "Athlete of the year", "Volunteer of the year", "Activist of public organization", "Pride of the Institute", Grand Prix "student of the year Michurinsk SAU". A prerequisite for the passage of candidates to the next round was a high academic performance.

The organizing committee received 59 applications, all applicants were admitted to the final.

In the final part of the competition, activists made a presentation to the jury, which reflected the main directions and results of their work. Young people vividly and colorfully told about individual achievements, demonstrated outstanding business and personal qualities, intellectual, creative and sporting abilities.

At the ceremony of awarding the "Student of the year" the names of the holders of high awards were announced by the Head of the university Vadim Babushkin. He also presented certificates worth 20 thousand rubles to two students of the university, who took the Grand Prix of the competition program. They were Maria Balashova and Vladimir Zubtsov, having the most significant achievements in various areas of student life, effectively developing several areas of youth policy in the educational institution and beyond.
