International students’ meeting with the representatives of the migration department

More than 300 international students study at Michurinsk State Agrarian University. In order to maximize the safety of international students, to help them to understand Russian laws, specialists from the international office of Michurinsk SAU work with them. Also, the large list of adaptation measures includes regular meetings with representatives of the state authorities, in particular, the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Efficient communication has been initiated and supported by both university specialists and colleagues from the relevant structures.

For many years, the head of Tambov Visa Department Tatyana Ulitina and the head of Michurinsk migration office Oksana Sorokina support the university international students in solving complex legal issues at the new place of residence.

This time, legal issues related to the residence regulations of international students on the territory of Russian Federation were highlighted. Students were interested in changes in the law on obtaining a temporary residence permit, participation in state programs for the resettlement of foreign citizens and obtaining citizenship.

In detail, the police officers on migration issues focused on the prevention of the facts of fraud against foreign citizens. Young people were warned how to behave in order not to become victims of criminals and with who they should contact with if the illegal actions were committed.

As always, the students asked many questions. The meeting ended with personal appeals of students and receiving competent answers from specialists.
