As
part of the celebration of the Day of Friendship of nations of the Tambov
region, an event for international first-year students was organized at the
agrobiostation of the Michurinsk SAU. The organizers of the event were the
employees of the International Department of the university. International
students who came to study in Russia got acquainted with traditional Russian cuisine.
As a treat, shchi, fragrant tea with pies were prepared for them. In turn, the
first-year students from Central Asia prepared their national dish - pilaf.
Such events help students to adapt to the new environment faster and help to
overcome communication barriers.
